Deloitte just announced that THEOplayer is once again nominated in the Rising Star category of the Deloitte Technology Fast50 competition. Ten select Belgium tech companies, including THEOplayer, will vie for two awards in this category: Most Disruptive Innovator and Rising Star. The winners will be announced at the official Fast50 ceremony on November 16, 2016, at the Egg in Brussels.
In the Rising Star category, the key is revenue potential rather than revenue growth. All applications are made through a pitch and a well-developed business plan. A panel of independent experts from the technology sector analyses each entry and makes a selection according to scalability, experience, management team expertise and highly promising growth.
The nominees for the Rising Star award also compete for the Most Disruptive Innovator award. This award recognises companies that have developed a product service which makes very high-end technology accessible for wide application and use.
